HANDMADE PAPER ORCHIDS

I’m back and I’m here to stay!
Dear readers, I hope you didn’t  missed me too much, I know I have but now I’m here and  full of  projects and ideas to share with you.
Today I’m bring you some very pretty paper Orchids...

I've made them for my friend Ana Marรญa who asked me for help with  dressing 10 tables for a Gala night  with beautiful Venezuela as the theme. When I thought of that gorgeous country, the first thing that came to my mind was it's lavished fauna and flora, I then realized Orchids were their national flower so of course, it made sense to make Orchids for this project.

Like with any craft, when using old fashion  ways, it’ll take you longer to produce but I really enjoy using  good old paper cutting techniques that require nothing but scissors, so no Cricut or other fancy cutting  machine was used for this simple and yet stricking project.

After taking the time to  watercolour the  centre petals I realized I could have  used colour  stock paper instead but now it’s done and I’m satisfied with the look. I used  a gold tone marker to hand draw the  little spots on them, yes, just a marker!! I know-I know hard to believe people like myself would actually take he time to do that when I could  have just skip that step and it would have looked just fine, but you know me... it’s all about the details!!!

Enjoy this and send me pics of your own Orchids ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

This white Orchid was the original idea but I just couldn’t resist the temptation and  coloured them but the idea is to used them  to enhance the table number sign.
