DIY: CREPE PAPER FLOWER

CREPE PAPER FLOWER TUTORIAL
What a winter we're having this year up in Canada... It feels like it's never going to end!! although I still remember spring time with it's bright colored flowers and it's fragrant smells in the air, hhhhaaa.... I can't wait!!

This week it was all about spring and it's glorious flowers for me and I tried miming it's splendor using nothing but glue and paper....

I started by cutting the shapes of a few petals, maybe about 12 petals in different sizes but keeping the shape consistent, I made mine pointy, like an upside down heart shape.

Then I glued the bottom of one side and rolled it up around a piece of wire, stick or some kind of stamen to support the whole flower on.

I kept wrapping each glued petal shape overlapping the next using a twirly steady motion making sure the bottom was firmly adhering onto the wire and the petal underneath it.

The result was uncanny...if I may say so myself... LOL

This other flower was also done with crepe-paper and in the same manner.

This crepe-paper was made with bi-color paper...some
very pretty petals for a very pretty flower!

Let me know what you think about this project!!
